Rhinoplasty Bangkok
Rhinoplasty in Bangkok is a popular cosmetic procedure performed by expert surgeons. Before undergoing rhinoplasty, it is essential to research various information to prepare appropriately and ensure safety during the surgery.
Rhinoplasty Open rhinoplasty (Open Technique)
This method involves making an incision at the base of the patient’s nose, a vertical incision, and separating the tissue and skin from the nasal structure. This allows the doctor to more easily see the problems with the patient’s nasal shape, enabling precise and complete correction.
Advantages of open rhinoplasty.
• The chances of the nose becoming crooked are low.
• It can be decorated to look beautiful and natural.
• Prevent future skin perforation.
Closed rhinoplasty (Closed Technique)
This is a common rhinoplasty procedure. The incision is made inside the nostril, and the doctor inserts a silicone implant from the bridge of the nose to the tip. This method is very popular because the incision is small and there is minimal swelling.
Advantages of open rhinoplasty.
• It won’t take long.
• Self-care afterwards
• Rhinoplasty is not complicated.
• The treatment costs are not expensive.

How to choose a nose augmentation shape.
1. When choosing a nose shape, consider ensuring it is as balanced as possible with the rest of the face.
2. The nose should complement the forehead. People with high foreheads can opt for higher silicone implants for a more balanced look.
3. Choose certified silicone implants to reduce the risk of allergic reactions and ensure safety.
4. The procedure aims to boost self-confidence, add dimension to the face, and enhance beauty noticeably.
5. Select a skilled surgeon who uses safe, high-quality materials to prevent post-operative complications.
6. Choose a clinic or hospital with a valid license from the Ministry of Public Health.
Open rhinoplasty, or open nose surgery.
Nose reshaping is a surgical technique that helps to improve the appearance of the nose. It involves making an incision at the base of the nostrils on both sides, exposing all internal structures. This allows the doctor to accurately analyze the problem and correct the nose shape in various ways. Whether you want a longer nose, a smaller nose, or a straighter nasal bridge, it’s possible using cartilage or synthetic tissue as the primary support. This method differs from closed rhinoplasty, which uses silicone implants solely to increase the nose’s height. MEDA
Preparation before rhinoplasty
1) Provide your doctor with detailed health information, including:
Health problems
, serious illnesses/pre-existing conditions
, history of surgery and anesthesia,
loose teeth, dentures and dental problems,
drug allergies/food allergies,
other.
2) In cases of risk factors or pre-existing conditions, physical preparation for surgery and anesthesia will be undertaken, including:
X-rays,
blood
tests, electrocardiograms, and
consultations with a specialist in internal medicine.
3) Avoid using certain medications, supplements, and herbal remedies that may affect the surgery at least 7 days prior to the procedure. Bring all your regular medications and herbal remedies to the hospital to inform your doctor on the day of the surgery, such as:
Pain relievers
, aspirin
, vitamin D, vitamin C,
fish liver oil
, etc.
4) Stop smoking approximately 6 weeks before surgery to prevent tissue ischemia, which can lead to tissue death. If you are a heavy smoker, inform your doctor immediately, and you should stop smoking for at least 2 weeks after surgery.
5) Stop drinking alcohol within 24 hours before surgery and should continue to do so for at least one week after surgery.
6) Take a shower to wash your body and hair thoroughly.
7) Do not use cosmetics.
8) Refrain from eating and drinking before surgery as instructed by your doctor to prevent aspiration of stomach contents or food particles into the lungs while under anesthesia.
Self-care after rhinoplasty surgery.
1) Apply cold compresses immediately after surgery for 48 hours continuously.
2) Sleep with your head elevated or sit upright for 48 hours. Be aware that swelling causing your eyes to be closed during the first 3-4 days is normal. Don’t worry too much about the nose shape during the first 7 days, as the swelling will still be significant enough to determine the true shape. Swelling and bruising will last varyingly from person to person, typically 4-14 days. Avoid looking in the mirror to assess your nose shape during this initial period.
3) Keep the surgical wound dry for 7 days.
4) Avoid dust that may cause allergies. If you have a runny nose, take allergy medication immediately. Avoid coughing, sneezing, and blowing your nose.
5) After finishing all prescribed medication, do not self-medicate. Only paracetamol for pain relief is allowed.
6) During the first 3-4 days, you may experience slight oozing of fluid or blood from the wound. Gently dab with a cotton swab and lightly apply Betadine to the affected area.
7) If you experience severe pain or excessive bleeding, consult your doctor immediately.
