การร้อยไหมเพื่อ ปรับรูปหน้าพัทยา เป็นเทคนิคที่ช่วยยกกระชับ การฟื้นฟูผิวช่วยลดริ้วรอยและปรับสีผิวให้ใบหน้าดูเรียวขึ้น การละลายไหมโดยไม่ต้องผ่าตัดมีต้นกำเนิดในประเทศเกาหลี หลักการของเทคนิคคือการใช้ด้ายละเอียดจำนวนมากเพื่อสร้างเป็นตาข่าย บริเวณใต้ผิวหนังที่สอดด้ายเข้าไปอาจทำให้เกิดอาการระคายเคืองและอักเสบได้ ทำให้เกิดการสร้างหลอดเลือดใหม่ซึ่งไปกระตุ้นเซลล์ที่ทำหน้าที่ผลิตเส้นใยคอลลาเจน การสร้างคอลลาเจนใหม่มาพันรอบเส้นด้ายทำให้ใบหน้าดึงกลับ ทำให้ใบหน้าเต่งตึง พร้อมทั้งช่วยกระตุ้นการไหลเวียนโลหิตและปรับปรุงชั้นผิว

การร้อยไหมที่นิยมใช้กันในเกาหลีมี 3 ประเภท

1. ด้ายโมโนเป็นเส้นเรียบ ไม่มีหนาม ลูกบิด หรือด้าย ไหมชนิดนี้ใช้เป็นหลักบริเวณคอ ใบหน้า และใต้ตา ช่วยกระชับผิวโดยไม่ต้องยกชั้นผิว
 
2. ด้ายเป็นเกลียวเดี่ยวหรือสองเกลียวที่ขันเข้าด้วยกัน ด้ายประเภทนี้มีประโยชน์ในการเพิ่มปริมาตรให้กับผิวหนังที่จมหรือในกระถาง ด้ายแบบเกลียวให้ผลที่ดีกว่าด้ายเรียบ เส้นด้ายส่วนใหญ่เหมาะสำหรับการยกชั้นผิวที่หย่อนคล้อย
 
3. สายเกียร์เป็นลวดไหมเส้นเดียวมีหนามตลอดความยาว กระดูกสันหลังมีประโยชน์เป็นกาวติดชั้นผิวหนัง เปรียบเสมือนโครงสร้างที่ช่วยยกเนื้อเยื่อหรือผิวหนังที่หลุดออกมา คอลลาเจนจะถูกกระตุ้นให้งอกใหม่บริเวณเส้นไหมและกระดูกสันหลัง ผ้าไหมประเภทนี้เหมาะสำหรับการยกกระชับบริเวณคาง ปรับรูปหน้าให้หน้าเรียว

ไหม PDO ที่เราใช้นั้นเป็นไหมละลายซึ่งร่างกายจะค่อยๆกำจัดออกไปจนหมด ภายใน 6 เดือน แตกต่างจากไหมยกกระชับหน้าแบบอื่นๆ ในอดีต เช่น ไหม Aptos ที่มีลักษณะหยักเป็นไหมชนิดหนึ่งที่ไม่ละลายหลังการผลิตและมักเกิดรอยช้ำเมื่อใช้งานเป็นเวลานาน . และต้องใช้แพทย์ผู้มีประสบการณ์ หากปรับสมดุลใบหน้าผิดวิธีจะต้องได้รับการผ่าตัด เพื่อเอาเส้นไหมออกก่อนจะร้อยไหมใหม่ นอกจากนี้ยังไม่สามารถสวมบนตัวได้ในขณะที่ด้ายสีทองจะประกอบด้วยทองคำบริสุทธิ์และมีโลหะเป็นด้ายที่ไม่ละลายน้ำและมีข้อดีคือมีราคาแพงและต้องใช้พิเศษ การดูแล เพราะไม่สามารถทำเลเซอร์หรือนวดหน้าด้วยคลื่นวิทยุได้เหมือนคนทั่วไปเพราะอาจทำให้เส้นลวดทองดูดซับความร้อนที่ผิวหนังขาดหายไปได้
